Quiet Proof

A record of what you actually did, one line at a time.

The Quiet Proof mark: a thread running down, with four stitches across it, two long and two short.

You have done more than you think

Write one line when something happens. It takes about three seconds, and you tag it one of two ways.

I did this. Something that took effort, however small it looked from outside. Finally called the dentist. Said no, and meant it. Got out of bed.

This was good. Something you noticed rather than achieved. Sun on the kitchen floor at four. The bus driver waited for you.

Months later you open it and find twenty things you had forgotten you did.

What it will never do

Letters to yourself

Seal a letter and choose a month rather than a date, because a countdown is just waiting anxiety. It waits under a month that has not arrived yet. When it opens, you read something you wrote a year ago, often a worry that turned out fine.

The Book

Everything you have written, from the beginning, set as a proper document. Save it as a PDF and have it printed if you want it on a shelf rather than a phone.

Your words stay on your phone

There is no account, no server, and no analytics. The app makes no network requests at all and does not ask for permission to reach the internet, so it has no way to send what you write anywhere. One tap exports everything as a plain text file you can read without this app. The privacy policy says all of this in full.

Tiny Doors and Quiet Proof

Two apps from the same person, for the same kind of day, and each works on its own.

Tiny Doors is for when you need something suggested. Quiet Proof is for everything nobody suggested, that you did anyway.

Where to find it

Quiet Proof is coming to Google Play, for Android.
